It is with deep regret that we announce that after a lengthy illness, Lorna passed away peacefully in her sleep at home. Lorna was a loving wife to Mike, and wonderful mother to her children Lisa and Brian. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Lorna’s passion in life was horses. She started riding early in life studying dressage in Germany and became an accomplished horsewoman. She mentored many students throughout her years and hopefully helped further dressage riding in the Comox Valley.
She and Mike were avid gardeners and spent many years together creating a paradise out of a simple hayfield. Lorna loved to spend her days tending to flowers, weeding and keeping her hands dirty.
The family would like to thank her many caring friends for the love, support and laughs that they gave her in difficult times. A special thank you to Dr. Woldnik and the Dunsmuir Medical Clinic for the kind care provided to Lorna. Thank you to the many VIHA caregivers and
North Team Nursing for their care.
At Lorna’s request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers feel free to light a candle for Lorna and remember her in happier times when she was smiling and still holding the reins.
