In Loving Memory ~

Lorne passed away suddenly at his beloved Merville farm on May 15, 2024, after struggling with Parkinson's disease in his later years.

Lorne was born and raised in the Comox Valley and attended Tsolum School. He spent his career working as a papermaker at the Elk Falls Mill in Campbell River.

When he wasn't working, he was toiling on the family farm. He was happiest outside, working in the bush, operating machinery, or tending to his livestock.

After retiring from the Mill, Lorne and his wife Lynn enjoyed travelling to Europe and South America and geocaching around the Comox Valley.

He will be remembered for his soft-spoken demeanour, tireless work ethic, and his devotion to his farm and family.

Lorne is predeceased by his parents, Rudy and Adeline Adamschek (Wesner) and Lynn's parents, Doug and Lois Slater.

He is survived by his wife Lynn, brother Edward (Ann) Adamschek, sister Hilda (Bill) Fawcett, daughters Jodi (James) Harvie, Lisa (Janna) Littlechuck, son Daryl (Alana) Adamschek, his five grandchildren (Quinten, Lily, Beckett, Tola and Piper), and his loyal companion Barley.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider a donation to the Parkinson's Wellness Project parkinsonwellness.ca to help support others impacted by this disease.
