Malcom John MacRae

(Scotty)

November 23, 1926 ~ June 27, 2007

Scotty passed away suddenly in Comox on Wednesday, June 27th at the age of 80. He is survived by sons George and Roderick, daughter Sandra. He also leaves five grandchildren in Canada and a large family of cousins, nieces and nephews in Scotland.

Scotty retired as a logger, fisherman, deep sea and coastal mariner.

He went to seat at age 14 to do his part in WWII as a merchant seaman and finished the war by enlisting in the Black Watch stationed in Burma. He came to his beloved Canada in 1947.

Dad loved fishing, hunting and playing crib/cards. Malcolm had many friends and loved them all. He had fond memories of the Legion, the Elks, the Eagles, the Komox 19 Wing and the Masons.

We wish to thank all the people who cared for him so lovingly.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, the SPCA or the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 20, 12007 at 1:30 p.m. at the Comox Legion Branch 160 (upstairs), 1825 Comox Avenue, Comox, BC. A reception will follow in the upper level of the Comox Legion.
