Margaret Irene
Irene, of Courtenay, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital on Thursday, March 12th, 2009, aged 74. Margaret is survived and will be dearly missed by daughters Deb Taylor of Hornby Island and Taylor (Jim) Zsiros of Courtenay; grandchildren Rob Zsiros of Courtenay, Hillary McCaffery of Scotland, Ryan Zsiros of Courtenay, Tracey McCaffery of Nanaimo and Richard Zsiros of Courtenay; great-grandchildren Sara Brooke Zsiros, and Autumn Raine Zsiros of Courtenay, and Douglas and Dorothy Young of Scotland; as well as niece Ellen Reid of Scotland. In her leisure, Margaret enjoyed the Clogging Group in Nanaimo and took every opportunity to go ballroom dancing, dressing immaculately for the occasion. She was a beautiful seamstress and knitter and was very adept with a paint brush and drawing pencils. Margaret had a keen eye and enjoyed sharing a well-made (Bombay) Martini with her friends.
