Nettie passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on Aug 9, 2022.
She was born Feb 28, 1934 in Cumberland BC to Riccardo and Maria Sgarbossa.
At the age of 21, she married her long-time love Richard (Dick) Konschak and made the big move from Cumberland to Courtenay where they remained. They were married for 67 years. Nettie was an excellent cook and homemaker and could whip up a meal for many in a matter of minutes. Anyone that visited, never left hungry or thirsty. She loved her family and before arthritis affected her hands, she knitted many blankets and outfits for her grandchildren.
Nettie was predeceased by her parents Riccardo and Maria Sgarbossa, her brother Ernesto Antonio Sgarbossa, and her grandson Brandon Westhaver. She leaves behind, her loving husband Richard Konschak, son Mike (Dorothy) daughters Janice (Glen), Linda (Wayne) and Christine (Bryan). Grandchildren Janine (Will), Sarah (Chris), Grant (Kerry), Keith (Courtney), Charlene (Roman) Michelle, Lisa (Marcus), Sam and Brittany, Robbie (Shawna), Salena (Colin) and 17 great grandchildren.
There will be no service as her wishes were to have just a simple gathering with family at the gravesite.
