Maria Lisa-Jane Larson (nee Preece)

Maria Lisa-Jane (Preece) Larson died suddenly of a fast moving illness at the end of 2019 at the age of 41 leaving her family and a multitude of friends shocked and grieving. She is survived by her husband Nate, sons Nathan, Max, Andrew and David, parents Harry Preece and Francine Gauthier, siblings Juan Preece, Jeremy Preece (Niki), Melissa Rolfson (Rob), Joseph Preece (Melanie) and Marion Preece (John) and 11 nieces and nephews. She was born and mostly grew up in the Comox Valley. Two years after high school she went back to school with her sister, graduating with honours as an RN. She ended up working in the Greater Salt Lake area where she met again her tall, strong, but gentle Nate. Theirs was an amazing marriage. Two strong willed people, they managed to resolve their differences peacefully, sometimes going her way, sometimes his but always united in love. She loved her Heavenly Father and her Saviour Jesus Christ and strove to do their will all her life. She served others constantly with love and joyfulness in her family, her church, the community and her work. We miss her terribly but know she is safe with her heavenly parents and is able still to care for her boys that she loves so much.
