75, died peacefully at home in the Comox Valley on November 10, 2016. Born in Lloydminster, Sk. He was pre-deceased by his parents Jack and Bea Fossum. He is survived by his son, Max (Lisa) Fossum and grandsons, Alexander and Mitchell. Martin held a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Saskatchewan. He was a graduate of the London Film School, London, England. He enjoyed a long and successful career as “Sound Man” for TV, Movies, Documentaries and Commercials. He worked on many projects, including the CBC series, “The Beachcombers” and “Danger Bay”. In 2002, he received 2 nominations from The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATCS) for Outstanding Single Camera Sound Mixing for a Miniseries or Movie for: “Door to Door” and “Taken”. Martin was a multi-talented artist, who enjoyed entertaining his grand children with drawings, tricks and cartoons. Martin will always be remembered for his modesty, his warm and engaging personality, quick wit and charm.
