PIERCY, Mary Anne
July 20, 1920 – June 22, 2013
Mary Anne passed away peacefully early morning in Glacier View Lodge. She was admitted on the advice of her doctors as she lived alone in her condo for many years.
Predeceased by her husband Tom of his second marriage, she raised his young family of two sons and one daughter.
Financially independent to look after life’s challenges she faced the ups and downs of life with a smile, never complaining. She had her circle of friends. She was always kind, polite and generous in her conversation about people and events with a hint of comment and/or advice when necessary. Having been blessed with a good sense of humor she made for a lively encounter. She remained cheerful right to the end and her spark and generosity never left her, living in the world of memories of her husband, family and friends.
A word of thanks to the staff and workers of Glacier View Lodge, her doctors and all those many individuals who contributed to her wellbeing throughout her years.
She will be buried with her late husband Tom in the family plot on Denman Island Cemetery at a later date. Please call 250-334-0707 for details.
