Michelle, mother, daughter, sister, friend, passed away at her home in Courtenay, on Friday, October 9, 2009. Michelle was born in Lahr, Germany and lived half her short life in Nova Scotia and in her late teens moved to the Comox Valley where she made a nice home for her children. Michelle had an open door and her many visitors were often touched by her wonderful smile and her heart of gold.
She is survived by both parents, Carol Gear, West Chezzetcook, N.S. and Allan Gear of Comox. Michelle is also survived by her son, Robert Jesse Huffman (15) and Ashley Dawn Huffman (13), both at home. Her brother, Robert Trevor, maternal grandmother, Ruby Baker, West Chezzetcook, N.S., fraternal grandparents, Thomas and Margaret Gear, Brantford ON, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She’ll be missed by friends and family in NS and BC. We’ll miss you and we all love you very much Michelle. Rest in peace.
A Funeral Service will take place on Friday October 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1599 Tunner Dr. Courtenay with a reception to follow. In Lieu of flowers an account has been set up in the name of her children, donations may be given in trust to Allan Gear, 1666 Maquinna Ave. Comox, V9M 3L1.
