ROBERT

Monique Lucille

April 20, 1942, Quebec City - August 5, 2012, Courtenay.

I looked to Jesus,

the lover of my soul

Now He holds me in His arms,

Waiting for the ones

We love to come Home.

Monique went peacefully to her heavenly Father, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was predeceased by parents Donat and Alice Robert, and eldest brother Raymond. She leaves to mourn her 3 children, Brent (Kate), Lyle (Eva), Leanne (Chris) and 6 grandchildren; a brother Aurel (Joyce), and 4 sisters Florence, Jeannine (George), Celine and Denise (Farryl).

She was born in Quebec to a French Canadian family and grew up in a little Prairie Town of Montmatre, Sask. In these latest years, she moved to Courtenay, BC to a quiet and healthier lifestyle and greatly loved the ocean surroundings. Monique possessed a compassion, generosity, a love of nature, and a delightful “Joie de Vivre.”

Her passing leaves a large hole in hearts of her family and friends. But her legacy of faith and courage will inspire us with a hope on our own (personal) journey.

The family wishes to thank Debbie and Carl Overby and Ursula and Hilmar Weinzierls for their constant support and friendship.

A celebration of Monique’s life will be held at Piercy’s Funeral Home, 440 England Ave., Courtenay on August 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm.
