Born to George and Luella Smith of Edmonton, AB on May 18, 1928. She departed on January 6, 2018.

Much appreciation and thanks goes to Hospice for their loving care.

Muriel marched to her own tune, always with a twinkle in her eyes.

Muriel's working career was spend in the 74th Communication Group of the CAF. She was recognized for her great dedication and exemplarily work ethics. After retirement she volunteered for many years at the Canadian Red Cross Loan Cupboard. She made many donations to those in need around the world and at home. If there was a worldly crisis she would be there with her financial support and most local organizations benefitted from her contributions.

Muriel will be lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of having her in their lives.

Predeceased by her parents, her brother Ted Smith and sister Joyce Jordan.

Survived by her sister Leona Worcester and many nephews and nieces, plus great nephews and nieces.

Her friends were like family to her, of special note Judy, Pat and Elaine.

A very special thanks to Elaine and Herb - you made her life so much better and happier.

A tea in her honour will be held at 2361 6th Street East, Courtenay, Thursday January 11, 2018 from 2-4 pm.

Gone but never forgotten.
