It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful mother, Nora Rosanne Richards (nee Idiens) on December 14, 2023.
Rosanne was born in Comox, BC, in 1943 and grew up on a large poultry farm. She attended Queen Margaret's School in Duncan, before later attending nursing school in Vancouver. She enjoyed a long career as a nurse caring for others and always had a kind word and a smile for those around her.
Happily married to her RCMP husband, she spent many years moving with her family to different postings around the country before finally settling in Victoria, BC to enjoy retirement. She will be remembered for her cheerful smile and caring heart.
She is predeceased by her parents, Cyril and Nora Idiens, her husband of 49 years, Thomas Henry Richards and step-daughter, Dawn. She is survived by her two children, Trent and Yvonne (Ken) and grandson, Orion, her brother John (Debby), plus many nieces and cousins.
She will be forever loved and missed beyond measure. She is amongst the angels in heaven. We love you, Mum. A small family gathering will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
