It is with great sadness we announce that Prue, aged 93, passed away peacefully in St. Joseph’s Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Prue was predeceased by her parents, George and Molly Tinsdeall, her sister Kathleen Harriman and brother Ronald Tinsdeall.

Prue is survived by her husband of 68 years, George Tillotson, her sister Ida Doucette and family, a daughter, Patricia (Dennis) and son Richard (Emma); five grandchildren, Wendy (Oliver), Allan (Kelly), Jeff (Larissa), Donna, David (Kari): ten great grandchildren, Shailynn, Colton, Sarah, Kaylee, Lilly, Isla, Penelope, Ophelia, Charlotte and Jake, Aaliyah will also miss her.

Prue was born and raised on a farm in Veteran, Alberta. She worked as a steno at A.G.T. in Calgary before her marriage to George in 1947. As George was in the R.C.A.F. she did much moving and travelling until retiring in Comox. She enjoyed softball, curling and golfing.

Prue is past matron of O.E.S. Florence Chapter, Courtenay. She truly enjoyed her time and involvement with them.

Prue’s family meant the most to her and she spent as much time as she could with them all. Among other things she will be fondly remembered for her baking especially her bread.

A service of remembrance in celebration of her life was held on Friday, August 5th at 2pm from Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre.
