With great sadness we share the news of the peaceful passing of Richard.
A lifelong valley resident and descendent of the pioneer Pidcock family. Born in Victoria and moved to Oyster River as an infant. He spent his early years on the farm then enlisted in the army during the second world war. Later he met and married Helen Belyk in 1949. He worked in the logging industry and in the late 1950's went to work for a local freight company until his retirement in 1985.
He was predeceased by his wife Helen of 67 years in September 2016. Also by 4 brothers and a sister and 2 grandsons, Craig (1996) and Sean (2011).
Survived by his children; Yvonne (Stan) and Rodney (Annita). Grandchildren; Aaron (Debbie), Kyle (Lindsay), and Corey. Great grandchildren; Jamie (Joey), Airen, Kaeli and Bradley.
A special thanks to Dr. Bakshi, home support and nurses. Richard will be missed by all his family and friends.
