In Loving Memory ~
Ron passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the North Island Hospital - Comox Valley.
He was born and raised on Cape Breton Island, N.S., had two sons and a stepson predecease him. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, a stepdaughter Debbie and a stepson Kevin as well as four grandchildren.
Ron served many years in the Military; from 1956 to 1980. After which he joined the RCMP as a dispatcher here in Courtenay from 1980 to 2004+.
He was an avid fisherman, hence the nickname "The Codfather". Upon retirement he elected to continue working for the RCMP part-time so he could spend more time on the water.
A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 28th at Christ the King Catholic Church. It was live streamed so it can be seen on YouTube.
