Born July 21, 1950, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday night, Nov. 20, 2016, at his brother, Lloyd’s house on Quadra Island. He had been visiting with Lloyd and other members of his family. He is survived by Lloyd; his two sisters, Verna and Doreen; and his three daughters, Maylaya, Charlene, and Hillary.

Roy spent his childhood years in the Courtenay area. He worked mainly as a mechanic in B.C., Alberta, and the Northwest Territories. He settled in recent years at Fort Simpson, N.W.T. Prior to his passing he suffered from lung disease and other debilities. His suffering has come to an end. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Because his family is so widely dispersed there will be no formal memorial.

Loved ones will gather at a later date to scatter his ashes upon the ocean near Quadra Island.
