Shane Kalen Day passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the age of 19 years.

Shane will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Crystal Day and his father Terry (Victoria) Day; his sister, Tanya Day (Chris Hughes) and his nephew, Dusk and niece, Lunaca. He is survived by his grandparents: Ken and Yvonne Day and Hunter and Melice Babcock. Shane is also survived by his very special friend, Kate Rea-Stewart as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends. Shane was born in Comox, BC on October 15, 1986. He graduated from Mark Isfeld High School in 2003. He had just completed his first year of his plumbing apprenticeship. Shane loved life and all it brought him. He had the biggest heart and shared it wherever he could. He rode bikes, enjoyed fixing things, taking pictures and loved his Camaro. He was loved by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank all the family and friends that have extended their care and support.

A Celebration of Shane’s life will be held in the gymnasium of Mark Isfeld High School, 1551 Lerwick Road, Courtenay on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with family friend, Tony Cocking presiding.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation in Shane’s memory may be made to YANA, P.O. Box 3159, Courtenay, BC, V9N 5N4.
