Gray, Shirley Jane of Comox, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 9th. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband Bill; brother Jim Arnall (Audrey), niece Alison and nephew Clayton, all of Kelowna.
Prior to moving to the Valley in 2010, Jane spent most of her life in Calgary, where she was a long-time member of the Chamber of Commerce, publishing their chamber magazine and was an active volunteer with the Calgary Olympics. Locally, Jane became a regular fundraiser for YANA, and in her leisure, enjoyed kayaking. An avid animal lover, she was predeceased by her buddy "Grissom the Wonder Dog" and survived by "Boots" the rescue cat.
A gathering of family and friends in Celebration of Jane's life, will take place on Tuesday, October 16th, at 2:30 pm from Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road. For those wishing, donations in her memory to the YANA society would be appreciated.
