SALMON, Sidney Robert
Born November 23, 1931 passed away peacefully in Comox General Hospital on June 2, 2012.
Sid was a competitive spirit who had a big heart and gave life his all. From Alberta to BC he left a trail of friends. A master at bridge (with good friend Betty), or any card game played. An organizer and motivator his no nonsense approach could move mountains. His various careers always seemed to be looking after people whether hairdressing in Red Deer, camp cook up the coast, managing an apartment complex in the city or top dog volunteer at the seniors centre. Sid saw 80 interesting years which the doctors told him decades ago he’d never see. He was pleased with the fact that he saw a full life and continued to his last days kicking ass. He never took life for granted.
Sid leaves many friends and relatives in Victoria as well as in Courtenay. He will be missed by many and always remembered in our hearts. By request no service will be held.
