Passed away on April 21, 2013 at Comox, BC.

Born in Kircaldy, Scotland on April 6, 1944.

After his early years in Scotland, Stewart came to Canada with his family when he was 11. After graduation he worked in the steel mills in Hamilton and then travelled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, India and Central America.

Looking for new horizons he came out to BC and started logging around Lake Cowichan and then transferred to the Pulp Mill in Campbell River. During this time he met his wife and best friend Deirdre and they had 2 wonderful sons – Michael and Matthew of whom he was very proud. He spent 22 years as a volunteer with the Comox Fire Department and the last 2 years he was a fire chief for BC Hydro at the Micah Creek Expansion Project.

Predeceased by father, Alexander Rennie and son, Matthew Rennie.

Survived by Wife Deirdre, son Mike, mother Marry, brothers Al and Mark (Kelsey) sister Janice (Wally) nieces and nephews Hannah, Aika, William, Inga, Leah and their mother Andrea, Lucas, Sarah, Adam, Katelyn and Zach.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Comox Fire Hall.
