The family of Thomas Frederick Lawrence are sad to announce his passing on October 23, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox. He was born March 22, 1933 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan.
Tom was predeceased by his daughter Pat and sisters Ruth and Amy. He is survived by his loving wife Sylvia, his children Rick (Dee), Don (Nat) and Tim (Linda), his grandchildren Sean, Ryan, Rebekah and Corbin, brothers Ron, Clayton and his twin John, and his sister Marcia.
Tom was a member of the Royal Canadian Armed Forces for 25 years. After retirement, he owned and operated Modern Autobody on Cousin’s Ave and in his later years did reupholstery. Tom also enjoyed golfing, fishing, metal work and carpentry. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Royal Canadian Legion. He will be missed by all.
No one is truly gone as long as they are remembered.
So no goodbyes – just good memories.
A gathering of family and friends in celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 at 11:00 am from Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road, with a reception to follow.
