William Francis McMahon passed away August 18, 2017 in Comox, BC at the age of 96. He was born June 15, 1921 in Edmonton, Alberta to Francis Cyril & Rose Margaret McMahon.
Bill served in the Canadian Air Force at Rivers, Manitoba as a pilot and trainer from 1941 - 1945 when he was discharged to the RCAF Reserve. Upon discharge Bill attended the University of British Columbia receiving degrees in both Arts & Science and Bachelor of Commerce graduating with honours in 1950. Bill worked for the Central Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) as a building inspector in Vancouver, Kamloops and Comox where he retired in 1980.
Bill is survived by his wife Daphne of 71 years, son Thomas (Debbie), daughter Anne (Michael), 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his parents, brothers Thomas, Jack and sister Rosemarie.
A private mass was held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Courtenay on August 22, 2017.
