1910 - 2003
William Kischuk, born March 5th, 1910 in Vita, Manitoba, passed away on Sunday, February 16th, 2003 at Arranglen Lodge, Qualicum Beach. Predeceased by his wife Mary on October 11th, 1994 and his infant son Paul on March 9th, 1932, Bill is survived by son Jarvis (Elizabeth) Kischuk of Kenora, Ontario; daughter Betty (Don) Forsythe of Courtenay; grandchildren: Debbie, Robert, Jeff, Sharon, Bev and Alan; as well as 12 great-grandchildren. He was born and raised on his parents’ homestead in Vita, Manitoba. In 1955, he moved to Winnipeg where he was employed as a welder until his retirement in 1975. Two years later, he moved to Victoria, then north to Courtenay in 1980. Bill and Mary participated in many seniors’ activities in both Victoria and the Comox Valley. In his leisure, he enjoyed bowling, dancing, gardening and a good game of cards. A Service of Remembrance in Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, February 21st at 2:00 pm from COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD.
