Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 18, 2004. She was predeceased by her husband Art. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Kim Hawkins; sons: Kevin (Sherry) Waddell, Cameron (Karen) Henderson, Rick (Virginia) Henderson; brother George (Carol) Sims; and by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She will also be sadly missed by the many friends she made during the years that she lived in the Comox Valley. Yvonne was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 17.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, October 25, 2004 at 1:30pm from the Courtenay Legion, Upper Hall.
