Just wanted to give some feedback on the cartoon with the Cumberland highway sign and the Lucky Lager corporate sponsorship in last Tuesday’s Record. Cumberland is in my opinion one of the most progressive communities in the Valley and is quickly shedding its “luckiest town in BC” stigma. Keeping stereotypes like the one promoted in the cartoon do hinder growth in areas like Cumberland, and ultimately the Valley as a whole.
It was a cheap shot in my opinion. Regards,
