Comox grandparent furious about say-nothing report card

Dear editor, Our granddaughter is a high school student in the Comox Valley.

Dear editor,

Our granddaughter is a high school student in the Comox Valley.

Today at school their teachers handed out all their report cards to the students. While they were on the usual report card format, they were completely blank with no grade marks or teacher remarks.

What a blatant insult to these students from the teachers trying to get their point across that they are on limited administrative duties while trying to reach a settlement at the bargaining table.

My message to the teachers is — do your job and quit punishing the kids. They are working as hard as ever and would like to see the results of their efforts.

You may be making a stand by doing less but you are still collecting a full paycheque, so get back to work and earn it or maybe instead of asking for more money, you should get less until your strike is settled.

Be grateful you have a good job.

Ray L. Lindsay,

Comox
