Dear editor,Re: 2012 Puntledge River Paddle Fest.This year's festival was a great success. We had 120 paddlers from Vancouver Island, the Mainland, northwestern USA and Alberta. Paddlers had the opportunity to paddle the different sections on the Puntledge. Groups also took in runs on the Oyster River, the alpine section of the Browns and the lower Browns river. People had the opportunity to paddle Jackson kayaks brought over by Western Canoe and Kayak.Saturday afternoon provided lots of entertainment with a team relay game organized by Brentwood College Students, a throw bag contest sponsored by Northwater (which had 40 participants), a raffle draw and gift certificates from local vendors.We had outstanding evening entertainment provided by Shane Philip, which was amazing to hear. Thirty-nine people also went rafting with Destiny Adventures over the course of the weekend — four boats out on the high flows on Sunday afternoon.
