re: Leaders vote against Dove Creek tower proposal (Comox Valley Record article published March 28)
It is bitter to learn that, regarding the proposed cell tower in Dove Creek, Area B Director Hardy voted against it because of ‘uncertain science’; yet he voted in favour of Saratoga Speedway, where the science on the health impacts of excess noise is well understood. Area C Director Grieve voted against the tower, saying, “I wouldn’t want it in my neighbour’s yard.”
Yet he also voted in favour of the speedway. Because it is in someone else’s backyard?
Residents in Black Creek have been hung out to dry.
