Dear editor,
It is so positive that so many of our local children bicycle to school.
However, driving through Comox on these mornings of darkness or half-light, it is worrying to see so many children riding without lights or reflective gear.
Of course, as motorists, we have a duty to take extra care driving when children are on their way to school, but perhaps parents do not realize that a dark-clothed child (or adult) with no reflective gear or rear light is almost invisible.
Please ensure that children are suitably equipped, so that they are visible to all other road users.
