I must agree with the letter from Summer Joy and Tim Webb (Record, July 25).
They make some excellent suggestions about how to deal with this situation, but it appears that Sandy Gray has persuaded this current council to spend our tax dollars and carry on the legal action, started under the previous council, to have Maple Pool closed, thereby putting people on the streets.
If this action is successful and Maple Pool is closed with some 50 people being put onto the street, I hope that our council members and Sandy Gray have deep pockets and will pay the reallocation costs of these people, because I am violently opposed to their spending my tax dollars to rectify a situation that they themselves will have created.
