Your piece on the dangers to children using the play area near the airpark, while thoughtful, did not do you credit.
The children are much more likely to hurt themselves on the playground equipment or on their way to or from the airpark than in an incident with an aircraft. Many of our residents enjoy walking around the airpark and viewing the coming and going of the aircraft.
When we have visitors we take them to see the beautiful walkway and watch the aircraft. The Courtenay Airpark is an asset to the city and residents of the area.
