Dear editor,
I have decided to not use election signs in our community during the 2011 municipal election.
I have faith in the voters of Comox that they will judge the candidates running not on name recognition.
Rather, I believe Comox residents are more intelligent than that and will base their election choice(s) on what they find to be the character of the candidates and on what they find each candidate stands for.
In lieu of not putting up election signs, I will make a financial donation to a local Comox Valley charity in approximately the amount that I would have spent on campaign signs.
