Dear editor,
I have just read the letter from Graham Bruce and must ask, whatever happened to the provisions of the E&N railway grant that gave such a whopping big chunk of Vancouver Island to the owners of the grant in exchange for an agreement to operate the rail line in perpetuity for said grant?
They still own the grant goodies (mineral rights among others). Why do we all of a sudden get the shaft (costs of the rail line) while they get the benefits, the mineral rights etc.?
Has our provincial legislature passed some motion to do this or was it done under the table?
Just asking.
