With a massive snowpack on Forbidden Plateau this year, JumpCamp had another amazing season full of powder riding that was ideal for jumping, freeriding and learning new tricks.
"There was so much snow on Forbidden Plateau that we added a few more camps to the schedule," said JumpCamp coach Patrick Kitto. "We just kept on shredding right into May!"
JumpCamp is a snowboard camp on Forbidden Plateau for snowboarders of all ages and abilities who want to progress their skills, especially in the park and backcountry. Aside from a great snow season and camps full of excited shredders, JumpCamp was also involved in some big Vancouver Island snowboard articles.
Last year the JumpCamp crew was part of a Snowboard Canada magazine article that took photographers, writers and pro snowboarders on a tour of the Island through some of the deepest snow ever. Along with the eight-page article detailing the best Island snowboard spots in the February issue of SBC, JumpCamp's favourite jump on Forbidden Plateau "the Upper Boston" made the cover of the issue. "The cover shot was amazing for us," said Kitto. "We know we have an awesome mountain here, now everyone else knows too."
