Calum Barr of the Gravity MTB Youth Development Race Team won a silver medal in the U17 division at a downhill mountain bike event last weekend at the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.
Teammate Carson Damery was sixth among U17 racers.
In the U17 expert division, Connor Nettleton placed sixth and Ian Lehton finished ninth.
The Saturday evening featured a long jump competition, which Nettleton won with a jump of 48.2 feet.
The Comox Valley-based team competes this weekend at the 2019 Canadian DH MTB Championships at Panorama Resort in the Kootenays.
