Jade Froehlich of the Comox Valley has been named to the BC Rugby Elite 7s U16 team that competes at the Las Vegas Invitational tournament Feb. 28 - March 2.
Locally, Jade plays rugby for the Comox Valley Kickers RFC and Mark R. Isfeld Secondary.
BC Rugby is sending eight teams from the Elite Youth Sevens Program to Vegas. Over the year, the tourney has been a regular event for B.C. teams, as both an opportunity to introduce aspiring young players to a higher level of competition, as well as a platform for more established players to pit themselves against an array of quality teams and academies from across North America and beyond.
