Dannielle Goulet has officially entered the ranks of professional bodybuilding.

Last weekend, the Cumberland resident won a pair of gold medals at the Natural Canada Pro Qualifier in Toronto. She also won overall in the women’s physique open category, and received her IFBB Pro card.

“This is a huge milestone,” Goulet said. “I am so honoured and grateful to be receiving this status card.”

The Pro Qualifier had been postponed three times in the last year-and-a-half due to COVID-19, but the delay did not stop Goulet from continuing her training and prepping regime.

Her most recent win caps what has been an eventful year. In May, Goulet was featured on the cover of the fitness magazine ALFA. Last month, she returned to school and completed her International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) personal training certification. Her business name, Rise And Grind Fitness & Health, has been approved. She plans to start taking on new clients in the new year.

Goulet’s professional debut will be the Vancouver Island Showdown, May 7 in Victoria. Check @vanisleshowdown on Instagram for details.
