Falconer going to high school rodeo finals

Courtenay cowboy will compete in team roping in Wyoming in July

 

 

 

Cody Falconer is off to the world's largest rodeo.

The G.P. Vanier grad has earned a position with the B.C. team that will be in Rock Springs, Wyoming from July 15-21 to compete at the 64th annual National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR) in team roping.

Featuring over 1,500 contestants from four states, five Canadian provinces and Australia, the NHSFR is the world's largest rodeo. In addition to competing for over $200,000 in prizes, contestants are vying for more than $350,000 in college scholarships.
