Highland second at North Island basketball tourney

At the North Island basketball tournament hosted by Isfeld, the Highland Grade 8 girls place second, losing in the finals to a strong team from Alberni.

In their round-robin and playoff games, Highland showed how much they had improved throughout the season. Game MVPs went to Ella West, MacKenzie Stevens, Carly Tutt, Vivianne Lemay and Breanna Oelke.

Highland thanks Jouska Lockquell and Isfeld for hosting a great tournament. All Valley teams — Cumberland, Lake Trail, Vanier, Isfeld, and Highland — did a great job representing their schools.
