Info sessions upcoming on Comox Valley Recreation Commission’s strategic planning direction

Residents of the Comox Valley are invited to learn about the path ahead for proposed field, ice and aquatic recreation facility upgrades at information sessions this month.

Residents of the Comox Valley are invited to learn about the path ahead for proposed field, ice and aquatic recreation facility upgrades at information sessions this month.

“Ensuring the community has access to enjoyable, affordable and accessible recreational facilities is a key task for the CVRD,” said Melanie McCollum, chair, Comox Valley Recreation Commission. “Making an informed, fiscally-responsible plan to maintain and expand these facilities is an important piece of achieving this goal.”

The studies, assessments and successful public outreach over the last few years have laid the groundwork for the proposed facility improvements. Before any construction begins, there are still a number of studies and work to be completed.
