This past weekend the BC. 3A #7-ranked Isfeld Ice senior boys basketball team won the 40th annual Britannia Bruins Invitational Tournament in Vancouver.
On Thursday they opened with a 74-66 win over West Vancouver. Leading scorers were Cole Hutchings with 26, Morgan Proctor with 18 and Richard Girard with 15.
In the semifinal Isfeld defeated the Windsor Dukes 66-34. Proctor had 23, Girard contributed 18 and Hutchings had 14. In the final Isfeld defeated Pinetree 56-34.
With the score tied at 14 Isfeld went on a 17-3 run for the second quarter and opened up a 31-17 lead. Leading scorers for the game were Proctor with 26, Hutchings with 16 and Girard with 15.
Richard Girard and Cole Hutchings were selected to the all tournament team and Morgan Proctor was the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
