Opening day Sunday for KMRBL

Masters men's baseball league now has eight teams; first game goes 9:30 a.m. at Highland

The Komox Men’s Real Baseball League is now an eight-team circuit.

Joining the league are the Expos, who play their first game on opening day (Sunday, May 4) at 5 p.m. against the vastly improved Edwards Avenue Athletics at Highland Secondary.

The Tonef Funeral Services Blue Jays and Happy’s Source for Sports Indians have the honour of playing the first regular season game of 2014 when they do battle at 9:30 a.m. Other games include Brian McLean Yankees vs. Williams Construction Nationals at 12 p.m. and Mindset Wealth Mariners vs. Courtenay Plumbing Twins at 2:30 p.m.
