As a result, the Comox Valley Road Runners (CVRR) were able to present cheques totalling over $7,000 to Fred’s two favourite charities: the Cumberland Community Forest Society (CCFS) and the United Riders of Cumberland (UROC).

In December, the cheques were handed over in the middle of the Cumberland Forest on a trail maintained by UROC.

Fred passed away Sept. 1, 2020. He was a Wing Commander at CFB Comox, CEO of the Comox Valley Airport Commission, and an avid runner.
