Discover Comox Valley has extended the deadline for submissions to the Sport and Event Attraction and Expansion Grant Program to Sept. 26 to provide groups and organizations more time to submit their application.
"We have already received several applications from sport and event groups for this fund," a spokesperson said. "We would like to further spread the word about this grant program and encourage groups, organizations, festivals, meeting organizers etc. to take advantage of this opportunity.
"If you have an event you are involved with or know about, that will bring out-of-town visitors to the Comox Valley, the event may be eligible to receive cash to help with expenses."
