The Comox Valley Athletic Association is again running basketball programs for girls.

Once again there will be basketball offered for girls this spring.

For girls, this is the most popular sport in the world. Experience is not necessary to join.

The program teaches basic skills of the game while having fun.

This is the third year that basketball programs are being run by the Comox Valley Athletic Association (CVAA) and coached by longtime community coaches, Grant Ashlee and Peter Parke.

The CVAA Fastbreak program is entering its fourth season after 2016-2018 seasons saw three girls teams compete in two competitive Victoria club tournaments, and other tournaments.

The CVAA GO Basketball Program will run 10 weeks, from April 3 to June 5. The categories include:

•Co-ed, kindergarten–Grade 3, Wednesdays, 4:45 – 5:45 p.m., Lake Trail Middle School;

•Girls Grades 4-7, Wednesdays, 5:45 - 6:45 p.m., Lake Trail;

•Girls Grades 8-12, Wednesdays, 6:45 - 7:45 p.m., Lake Trail.
