Sunnydale ladies in top form on Tuesday

Drier course conditions producing lower scores – and sun is shining

Thirty-five Sunnydale ladies were blessed by sunshine again for our regular Tuesday draw on May 13. Scores are now starting to reflect the drier course conditions, with all five loss gross winners posting scores in the 90s.

First low gross was Marlene Gerrie with 96, followed by a tie for second by Lys McCrone and Lois Westbrook with 98. Charlene Cebryk and Teri Sleigh tied for third with scores of 99.

Low net winner was Francis Shaw with a score of 71. Four players posted  76 for second place: Sharon Littler, Andrea McInnes, Vicki Bombini and Mo Ross.

Lowest number of putts was Betty Lund and longest putt on #9 was Chris Annand. Sally Sloat won the KP on #10 sponsored by Rob Speer Pro Shop, and she made the putt for birdie. KP #15 was won by Patricia Lowe and KP #5 on the 2nd shot was won by Becky Kenner.

We also had six players in the 9 Hole Group. Trudi Garratt posted the low gross score; Coral Tanner won low net and Ardene Larison had the lowest number of putts. There was only one par on the back nine which occurred on #15.

Ladies Club captain Rona Lawson has returned from her vacation and she promises to add some new variations to our Tuesday morning games. We always welcome ladies to join us. Sign up in the clubhouse one or two weeks in advance or phone the Sunnydale Pro Shop for more information:  250-334-3232.
