North Island Wild Ravens Field Lacrosse (U12 division) swept Victoria Field 1 in their opening two games on Sunday in Colwood.
The Wild Raves took the season opener 9-4 and in the afternoon came back even stronger and rallied to a 17-2 victory over the South Island squad.
Field lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in North America and registration for this year has seen a huge increase in the North Island region. North Island teams include players from both the Comox Valley and Campbell River areas.
