B.C.'s big-hearted professional wrestling community is once again coming together to stage a fundraising card in the Comox Valley.

Slams for Sebastian 2 is set to go Nov. 9 at the K'ómoks First Nation band hall. The inaugural Slams for Sebastian, held this past February, raised almost $1,500 for Sebastian Cobban and his parents Tyler and Amanda to help with their infant son's medical bills.

Sebastian had a rare medical condition that required constant visits to hospital. The youngster, whose parents are from the Comox Valley, passed away in April, just three days shy of his 11-month birthday.

Keith Spinks, another former Valley resident who now lives in Campbell River, organized the first Slams for Sebastian show. In his Sgt. Kaos ring persona, he made his final pro wrestling appearance on the card. He and Barry Goode, a pro wrestler from the Valley who came out of retirement to appear on the first card, are working to put on the follow-up fundraiser.

"Barry and I decided that a good way to honour Sebastian's memory was to hold a wrestling card once a year to benefit a local charity in his name. (This) one will be raising money for You Are Not Alone (YANA) and we have already got a number of good-hearted men and ladies confirmed to donate their time and bodies to this great cause," Spinks said.

He said tag team mayhem will feature Goode and Campbell River's Mike Becherer against Scotty Mac and Jamie Diaz. Seven-foot fan favourite Cremator from Port Alberni will take on El Phantasmo, Ravenous Randy Myers will meet BJ Laredo, Krofton will battle Lak Siddartha (with Father Juan Valdez in his corner) while in women's action Riea Von Slasher will face KC Spinelli.

The card is joint venture by Vancouver Island Professional Wrestling and Pure Wrestling Association, while most of the participants compete on the Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling circuit (where Phantasmo is ECCW champ and Scotty Mac is Canadian champ).

Tickets will be on sale at Cash Store (470 Puntledge Rd. Courtenay 250-338-5800) and Instaloans (1995 Cliffe Ave. Courtenay 250-898-3500) and at JetFM (1625 McPhee Ave. Courtenay 250-334-2421).
