The beautiful Gardens on Anderton is the setting for a free health and recreation fair this Sunday, July 23

Health is defined by the World Health Organization as a “State of complete physical, mental, and social well being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

The maintenance and promotion of health can be achieved through a combination of physical, mental, and social well-being.

Recreation is something people do to relax or have fun and can have many health benefits when incorporated into a healthy lifestyle.

If you have been wanting to get informed and make some healthy lifestyle changes, the Gardens on Anderton can help.

On Sunday, July 23rd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Anderton Therapeutic Garden Society (ATGS) will be hosting its 4th annual Health and Rec Fair at The Gardens. Admission for this information packed event is FREE, so bring your friends and family.

There will be a variety of health and recreation related vendors for you to visit, including: Courtenay Family Chiropractic & Orthotics, a very popular booth where attendees have experienced mini sessions, and Curves fitness where you can try out some of the the equipment they have for use at their studio.

A Healthy Lifeshop will be there with their earth friendly organic products for you and your pet. Well known for its therapeutic grade essential oils, doTERRA which means “Gift of the Earth” in Latin, is another popular booth.

Booster juice will be on site with refreshing beverages to quench your thirst as you enjoy your walk through our lovely gardens.

Throughout the day will also be a variety a musical entertainment including drummers, ukulele, and flute. There will also be a demonstration on walking the Labyrinth.

Many vendors will have samples and demonstrations of their products and services and prize draws.

This event is a fundraiser to help support the operation and maintenance of the Gardens on Anderton which is a non-profit, volunteer-run public use Garden.

The Gardens are located at 2012 Anderton Rd (behind the Anderton Nursery) on the way to the Little River Ferry Terminal.

The Gardens are open daily from 10 am til 4 pm from May to September.
