The Ontario-based rideshare company Uride is set to hold a virtual information session for all prospective drivers on April 18, at 3 p.m. This comes ahead of Uride’s launch in the Comox Valley before the May long weekend.
The virtual information session will cover topics including an introduction to Uride, a guide to the application process, and the competitive earnings and benefits offered by the company.
Additionally, the session will feature a Q&A segment and an opportunity to connect with Uride’s western regional operations manager, Ravi Dhami.
“We are excited to introduce our services to the area, providing top-notch transportation solutions and substantial earning opportunities for local drivers,” said Dhami. “Our team is looking forward to bringing our commitment to safety, community, and affordability to Courtenay and Comox.

As part of Uride’s launch, new drivers can apply to drive and take advantage of limited-time incentives:
Full-time drivers: Earn a $1,500 bonus during their first four weeks.
Part-time drivers: Receive a $1,000 bonus after completing 250 trips within 60 days.
Uride also encourages anyone who knows a driver to refer them through their referral program.
Referrers will earn a cash bonus once the referred driver meets their performance target:
$500 cash bonus: For referring a full-time driver who completes a month of full-time driving.
$300 cash bonus: For referring a part-time driver who completes 100 trips within their first 30 days.
